soft spot in my heart

I gotta tell this story...

There's a woman saw a boy. He seems like in panic and called, "Mommy!" as he look around and start running. Meanwhile, I didn't notice. I was busy working. That same woman came up to me, "excuse me?" I turned my head around. She said, "I think this boy might be lost." As she pointed to the running little boy. I started to ran up to try to catch him before I lose my sight of him. He turned right. My first thought was damned because he wasn't in my sight. I continued to run by the time I arrived I spotted same boy standing and crying. Two young guys who also worked there, happened to walk by the little boy. They both looked down and little boy looked up to them and crying. He told them, "I lost my mommy!" as he continued to cry. Two young workers seem to be akward and didn't know what to do. One guy pull up the radio and still uncertain what to say. (The situation seems to be opposite, normally, mother wld come up and mention lost child. They would know what to do. We, workers, informed what to do at early train.) The young guy asked the other young guy "what should I exactly says on radio?" Just a few seconds, the boy said out loud, "mommy!!" as he held two arms up and running toward to her. As I turned my head, I saw a mother had her hands on her waist. However, that didn't prevent that little boy wants to hold his mommy. The mother did picked him up and hold him. I was relieve that was taken care of it. I couldn't help it but that defintly tearjerker for me.

The same woman who spoke to me earlier about the boy seems lost had asked me if he did found his mother. Then she explained to me the sitution that she saw earlier. That's how it starts.

Soo adborable... Soo cute to see that at the ending. A child reunited with the mother.

knowledge is power II

Well, I hope writing this down help me to remind me for my own future. I'm sure that wqill also help other women out there.

The average woman spends 11 years out of workforce taking care of family (such as children and elderly parent) and leaving her without enough retirement money to take care of herself. Fact is women are still earning less than men do and live longer.

Ya know? I won't be surprised that deaf people earn less money, too. So that means I need to save even more than normal for retirement plans.

Ratatouille

It is name of cartoon movie. I finally had a chance to watch it. It is about a Rat that cooks. It is funny! But there is one more... It also making me hungry for grapes and cheese. So I know we had some. I went over to the kitchen. I found out we were out of cheese. I was soo disappointed. When I watch that movie it make me in the mood for fruits and cheese. Oh well, I made turkey sandwich and it was good.

I'm still working on Tues, Wed, and Thurs so far. So I'm enjoying while it last and same time, I've been catching up my errands. I'm so glad that I did. However, there is still more to do. Tomorrow, I have to go to audioloist in person to receive the letter for office of disablity. So I can have interpreter. I'm sincerely considering change audiolist(sp).

In meantime, my family, pets, and I are doing fine. We are doing our own errands and taking turns. We have been carefully with our gas and other things too. I do know it would not going to be easy with gas prices keep on increasing. Sometimes I help paying it, too.

I hope things will strighten out in future. Oh I almost forgotten. I'm considering not to vote any Democrats. Ironic, I'm more of Democrats myself.

Well, I better get going. It is getting late and I do have to get up early.

Keep on going and going and...

Yep, I finally got everything I needed but that adiologist for a note to approval that I need interpreter. My mom call for me, just to save gas but this time they didn't mail a letter. What an asshole!? I still haven't had a chance to go. We are saving money and gas. We couldn't afford. So, I have to wait until either this payday or next payday to go in person to get what I want. *sigh* How annoying that can be? The more I visit auiodolgist, the more I feel they are closed-minded!

I don't care. What really matters is that I need to get a letter that I need interpreter.

In meantime, I got lucky, so far I work Tues, Wed, and Thurs. I better go and get some sleep since I have to work tmw. I had hard time getting up today for work. I'm not use to work at 2pm since I usually work at 4pm.

knowledge is power...

The more you know, the better off you'll be. I was just watching Discovery Channel, and the show called Dr. G: Medical Examiner. There was 10 years old boy who died. What strike me interesting? Dr. G mention possible of choking game. I was like, "Choking Game?" I never heard that before but kids do play that game and that could lead to death. I was like, "wow!" It has been going on from generation to generation. Only 25% parents knew. Now that's low number. So I went to search engine and found this website. http://www.chokinggame.net/

Kids do that in school, bus, and playground.

It turn out it was choking game and it is accident death, not sucidial. Sad.

Off subject, I was lucky so far I'm off on weekends for past couple weeks. I'm taking advantage of going Deaf Happy Hour and eating good old mom's cooking meal. I don't think I wld ever get tried of it.

Since it is too hot outside for a walk even though she loves to do so. My parent and I were swimming in the pool. Reese was standing nearby the pool. I told her, "Come on." Quicky as she went down the steps and start swimming around the circle. She hopped back on steps and got out. She would run around the yard and sometimes run around the pool until she's half dry then she would stand nearby the pool and waiting for my permission. I said again, "come on." She would do the same. Sometimes when she got out the pool. I would encourage her to get back in. I would say, "Ready?" She barked. I continued, "get set!" Reese got excited as she got on the step and start on her swimming before I had a chance to say "Go!" I did that few times. She would swimming in circle and back on step and shake herself. She would run around all over again. I saw my parent got out of the pool so I join them.

After a while, Reese still roam around then I thought it is time to play ball. As I walk up to the ball, Reese got it before I had a chance. I don't know why but she likes me to chase her as she has a ball with her. However, I manage to get the ball couple times and play tug-o-war with her and throw a ball few times.

Later, my parent got in the pool so I dive in. I didn't go through the steps. I just go to diving board where's deep water is at. I continue to swim and Reese do her usual rontinue all over again. Finally, the sun is nearly gone down. We got out of the pool and sat on back poach as we wait for air dry and a towel that helps to remove our wetness.

I decided to play ball with Reese but she would not get up. She is too exhuasted. I was surprised that she's pooped out. Since I'm so use to her having bundle of energy. But I'm glad that she's having good time. Espeically when she's so sad every time I go to work.

Oh other day was raining, after the rain, the weather was cool. It was cool enough for a long walk. The moment I put tennis shoes on, Reese started to get exciting. She jumped up and down with barking. It has been quite a while since I took Reese out for a walk. I took a long walk then stop at the park. She lay down until she's cool off then we walk back home on cool day. It was really nice and cool and windy. It was just right.

Speaking of freedom, I'm free this weekend, again. Aahhhh just the way I liked it and I'm going to enjoy that for a while. I hope it wld take long time before they change schedule on me. (Of course, I dunno if they do or not but I would not be surprised.) Like I said, I'm going to enjoy it and take it the best of use.

Still Busy...

Yep, I've been busy as usual. I can think of many different things to say and yet my mind is blink at this moment.

Right now, I'm on lunch break. I've been working 3 to 4 days a week now. Sometimes more... But I make sure I limited for I do not want to miss my oppurnity like going to Deaf Happy Hour. Last week, I did went; however, there's a road block and there's no detour sign. I was disappointed. I really have no idea where is another way.

Oh, I also couldn't believe that this Sunday is Father's day. I haven't got anything for my dad. Mom have already told me that he needs new working shoes. Plus he has his favorite leather belt that is already worn out and even mention about taking to someplace like leather shop and have it sew up. Then I thought maybe buy him another one?

Oh I dunno if I mention this before... My dad's company had cancel the one month trip to Colorado and postpone next year. My parent did talk about trip there in our mini-vaction; however, it is too far. So, we may just go to Oklahoma. We plan to go to bookstore and find information about it. So that way we can make plans. For 4th July. Of course, we have to be careful with our money.

Well, my time is up.

same O' same O'...

Yep, nothing much new. Just been doing some errands and still working on gathering information that I need for college. Meanwhile, I'm planning on visiting two more colleges this summer one is farther but other should take at least an hour and half depend on traffic.

I'm still on brainstorming of which one do I prefer and feel comfortable and most of all better education.

Another good news, I finally have my schedule back. It is just 1 to 2 days a week but I do get call a week before if I want to work more hours and not in last minutes contact. Thank goodness for that. Now I'm back to able to continue to pay my bills and some left over money for fun and needs.

I couldn't wait for my payday time.

I also have been swimming in the pool since mid-May. The water is perfect! I enjoy my swimming and Reese did not hestitate to jump in pool for swimming. After she dipped in the pool, she would run around in back yard and run around the pool. When she's half dry then she would get in the pool and swim again. That's a good way for her excerise during hot weather. In the evening, I feel alittle chilly from that pool then I would take Reese for a walk.

Speaking of walk, I don't think I can go to park for a while since I heard the news that 2 men rape a women at late evening in park. Ugh, the city is growing, that's why it increase the crime rate. They haven't caught those 2 men. I might drag my dad to come with me. Or drag both of my parent. So it would be all 3 of us plus Reese.

Anyway, all is good so far.

interesting story

Well, to me it is interesting.

I read National Geographic mag once in a while. It is May 2003. What got my interest for centuries women in China wew forbidden to read or write in Jiangyong country came up with their own cryptic writing system known only to themselves. Living under strict by men and often arranged and absuvie marriages so they created Nu Shu, it means female writing as a way to communicate and help each other cope using poems, stories, songs and they sometimes sewn into textiles.

Reason why I'm interesting in this, it is about women who's struggle and they tends to find a way. It is same idea when women here in America did fight for rights to vote and work equal as men.

I'm impressed when women find a way to comfort and support to each other in their own creative way. As life in nature, animals, and human beings have find a way to surive. I've find stories more interesting espeically relate with women and deaf history. I enjoy more than America History because Civil War, Revountional war, WW 1 and 2 and black history are too common and it is always same old craps. However, I don't mind black women history. Just don't bring up war stuff. It is too boring for me.

Well, last time I heard High School, had no idea who's first president of USA back in 1990's, it is about 90% students have no idea who is Gergore Washington. I wonder about now?

I better go and do my errands...
