caught in between

Doesn't sound good, isn't it? Espeically when I'm in middle between my boss AND my boss' boss. Eeekkk!!

Since I'm not going to names name. I'm going to make this way. My boss is a male and my boss' boss is a female so you'll see him, her, he, and she.

The schedule kept changing on me. My boss says one thing while my paper schedule says another. It can be confusing.

Finally, My boss had told me that he wants me to come from Monday to Friday from now on and off on weekend. So I accepted. According to my paper schedule, I'm off Wed since my boss wants me to come. So I did. When I clock in, the computer said reject and have to get permission. So I spoke to secartary(at the desk) then spoke to another person who happen to be my boss' boss(that time, I didn't know). She told me to go bed, it is your off day. I told her, yeah but my boss told me to come, today. She said no, go home. I told her, yeah, but my boss told me to come on Monday to Friday from now on. She said that she will talk to him. Now go home. I was like, "ok." I back off quickly. She grinned and I think she notice that I back off. I left. I didn't went to bed. Instead, I was doing my errands.

Next day, I came to work. I saw my boss. He's working there, too. As soon as I finished my part, I went off and search for him. I found him and I spoke to him what happened yesterday. He wasn't happy about it. I also mention that I wasn't on schedule for next week. He shake his head (seem furstraed(sp)) and took a piece of paper and write down for my schedule from now on with his signture and date that he signed. It is Mon to Fri. Few moments later, I learned that was his boss. He also mention that he thinks that his boss is the one who change schedule behind his back(SHIT was first in my mind and I'm in middle of this). He said that he will talk to her about it. He said that he knows what this dept needs and she doesn't because she doesn't work in that dept. I refuse to say anything and I kept the paper.

Oy! What can I do about being stuck in middle? I hope the situation will resolve. If not, only thing I can think of is approach to them and tell them that I'm not going to get in the middle of this and this guy is my boss and I just follow what he wants and that's it. I'm sure that my boss' boss will understand because she's HR so her field is more of counsloring. While my boss had graduated and had BA in buisness degree. So, wait and see...
